Virtual training opportunities from IAC
The Inter Agency Committee for Children and Families (IAC)’s Compassionate Care Conference held on November 19th, was a successful gathering for the community to engage in Healing Centered Engagement. By request and as a follow up to this conference, IAC had put together two Compassionate Care Training series for helping services professionals and their agencies.
Dr. Crystal Clay will be hosting three virtual workshops to address ‘Developing Emotional Intelligence and Compassionate Leadership in Human Services’ on Thursdays the 4th, 11th, and 18th from 9am-12:30pm. The series cost $75 per person.
Dr. Shawn Ginwright will be working with IAC again to offer a Healing Centered Engagement Certification. Healing Centered Engagement places culture and identify as central features of our wellbeing and ability to heal from trauma. This is a 9-week self-paced programme running from March 1st-April 30th, 2021 plus 3-live, virtual webinars Limited availability of 40 participants. The cost is $450 per person.
Dr.Ginwright PhD is one of America’s leading innovators on African American youth, youth activism and youth development. He is Professor of Education in the African American Studies Department and a Senior Research Associate at San Francisco State University. Dr. Ginwright is Founder and CEO of Flourish Agenda Inc., a national non-profit consulting firm whose mission is to design strategies that unlock the power of healing.
IAC’s goal is to help Bermuda’s human service providers, helping agencies and nonprofits to strengthen their services and improve their impacts. IAC sees the importance of bringing both opportunities to the helping professionals of Bermuda. Therefor, we do have training sponsorship is available to IAC members.
