IAC has a legacy focus and commitment to advocacy. Its hallmark success was the creation of the National Children’s Agenda. IAC’s commitment to facilitating collective advocacy is underpinned by its role in supporting effective and meaningful collaboration.

However, when necessary, IAC will also independently communicate and advocate to raise awareness and push for change. IAC will also seek to share information, updates and progress of the sector to the sector.

IAC continues to advocate in 3 ways

  1. Advocacy of IAC as an organisation
  2. Supporting, encouraging and facilitating the advocacy efforts of existing collaboratives
  3. Supporting start-up of groups interested in forming around an collective advocacy initiative
